with love to a fellow lesbian
8:21 a.m.

When a person says they are "Christian" that implies certain things. Like the belief that all will be forgiven if you accept that certain personal savior. Like faith makes all things possible - and that includes an open and honest relationship with God. People who call themselves this and then condemn people in the name of particular passages which implicate the necessity of cleanliness for that period of time in history...are foolish to say the least. When in doubt, remember who Christ socialized with. Would many of the "right-wing" (and I say this with disgust being a conservative realist) Christian activists accept among them a Man who spent hours with drunks, prostitutes, gamblers, and pimps? Would they listen to a Jesus who spent his nights in the projects and bought oils and incense from Arabic and Islamic street venders alike? Would they be able to look at someone of Purity and tell Him from the true vermin behind their plexi-glass shields?

The beauty that we have the most affinity for should not decide the "fate of our souls". Most of our love for such symmetry has been proven to be hard-wired biologically since birth. Therefore, love! Love! Love! But, for God's sake, don't let the letter of the law dictate the fulfillment in your life.
