tip your waitress
1:01 a.m.

dear general consumer,

i am a waitress at a corporate chain restraunt. that is not important.

i work hard to make ends meet, dont we all. dont we all. the point is...

just tip your damn waitress. kids out there that think its funny to leave 2 bucks, or even sufficient, its not. i have bills like everyone else. imagine if everyone left me 2 bucks. i average, hmmm, MAYBE 10 tables, on a decent night. that would be 20 dollars. i then tip out the hostess and bartender based on sales. if im lucky i may leave with 15 dollars. with gas prices going through the roof like they are thats not even a full tank for me. and i have a little car.

unfortunately for us all when you go to a restraunt with servers youre paying theyre bills. thier salary.

i make 2.129 an hour. thats waitress minimum wage. after taxes im lucky to get a paycheck of 15 dollars. im not looking for sympathy from anyone, just a little respect.

if you go somewhere and the service is horrible, leave them little tip, let them know they sucked. but if you go and the server is odviously doing her best. show her you noticed. its a 'gratuity' a thank you.

just show you care. make someones night. be generous for once. if thats a few more than youd normally leave what will it hurt?

i only speak for myself.
