Dear Father,

It's been years since I've seen you or heard from you. How have you been? I wish I knew.

I never gave up on you, you know that, right? I still love you, and I always have...those were the hardest words that I've ever had to say.

I'd really like to see you again, and I'd love for you to meet my daughter, ______. I've told her what a great man her grandfather is. She reminds me of you a little bit. I'm sure you guys would get along great.

I just want you to know I love you, and I miss you so much. I wish you could find it in your heart to respond to me this time.
